Polestar is a Swedish automotive brand established in 1996 by Volvo Cars' partner Flash/Polestar Racing and acquired in 2015 by Volvo. It is headquartered in Torslanda outside Gothenburg, Sweden with vehicle production taking place in China. Polestar is a design-focused electric performance car brand, harnessing refined performance and cutting-edge technology, whilst offering sustainable electric performance to improve the society we live in by accelerating the change to a fully electric, climate-neutral future.
